Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Security Officers to ensure the safety and security of our premises, assets, staff, and visitors. In this position, you will be assisting with access control measures, operating our visitor management system, screening visitors, issuing badges, greeting guests at reception, and a variety of various administrative tasks. Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, write clear and concise reports, and deliver excellent customer service while still maintaining the integrity of our security program. Must have professional appearance.
Position Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for the night shift.

Interact and screen visitors/vendors in a positive and welcoming manner, while safety and compliance measures are followed.

Verify identification and follow proper visitor sign-in protocol and policy.

Provide escort services for visitors, staff, and vendors; as necessary

Write detailed reports and activity logs

Conduct interior and exterior patrols

Prevent, discover, and/or delay persons attempting to gain unauthorized access to property and/or personnel at the facility

Respond to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies by calling police, fire department, and/or local emergency response teams

Monitor and maintain security surveillance equipment

Print and issue access control badges for new hires & assist employees with temporary badges

Answer incoming phone calls, provide general information and transfer phone calls to appropriate personnel

Cover additional administrative duties in the absence of Executive Assistant to include, but not limited to: Set up necessary on-site accommodations for guests, communicate with facilities department to prepare for guests, stock lunchroom with snacks for employees, etc.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

High School diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience

Intermediate computer skills to write logs, operate visitor management systems, and email

Physical Demands

Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.

The salary range for this role is:
$14 - $21

What We Do
