Security Officer

As a security officer at Children’s Health, you’ll help make life better for the children and families we serve by patrolling our facilities to ensure we maintain a safe and healthy environment. This position pays $23.12 an hour.
Your responsibilities will include enforcing our policies, rules and regulations as well as providing visitors with directions and other information.
You’ll ensure that all entrances and exits are secure, and that everyone on-site is properly identified.
You’ll report all irregularities, emergencies and suspicious activity to the appropriate party.
Experience
Required: At least one year of job-related experience (in customer service, health care, hospitality, security, law enforcement or the military, for example)
Education
Required: High school diploma or GED
Licenses and certifications
Required upon hire: Valid, current Texas driver license
Required within 60 days of hire: Completion of Pediatric Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior training, followed by annual renewal of training
Required within six months of hire: Completion of non-commissioned security officer training and certification, and licensure by the Texas Department of Public Safety
