Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated candidate who thrives in a dynamic environment to join our Accounting team. The Senior Accountant plays an integral role in the month-end close process by preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations; overseeing technical areas such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, hedging and investment accounting; and preparing and presenting management reporting packages. This individual will also analyze, investigate and explain fluctuations in financial statement balances, as well as perform consolidation of financial statements and prepare external SEC filings including Forms 10Q and 10K, as well as related support schedules. The Senior Accountant will also assist with training and developing Accounting staff.
Responsibilities:

Assist with monthly close cycles in accordance with Company policy and US GAAP

Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for complex, technical accounting areas

Review journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by Accounting staff

Prepare consolidation of financial results, financial statements and cash flow analysis

Lead fluctuation analysis, variance explanations and balance sheet rollforwards

Prepare and present management reporting package for monthly financial review

Prepare Forms 10Q/K and earnings release in Workiva, including review of XBRL tagging

Train and develop Accounting staff on SAP software, journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, SEC filings and related support schedules

Primary liaison for audit requests and maintain strong control environment

Lead meetings with Finance department and Business Units on various accounting matters

Investigate Finance inquiries and post any resulting account and cost center reclassifications

Perform hedging analysis on derivatives financial instruments

Perform analysis on investments to ensure proper classification and identify any impairments

Support technical accounting research projects and adoption of new accounting standards

Assist with ad-hoc analyses

Improve processes to drive continued efficiency and effectiveness
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or related field required

2+ years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience

CPA or in process is strongly preferred

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel required

Working knowledge of SAP strongly preferred

Experience with Workiva is a plus

Solid understanding of US GAAP

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position is $91,000 - $117,000. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
