Senior Accounting Analyst-APD (Remote)

The Senior Accounting Analyst will, with training and direction, calculate, prepare and produce auto warranty profit sharing and retrospective commission program statements and perform analytics and reconciliations of the various Dealer Retro programs. This position will report the dynamics and behavior of the various programs to senior management.

Responsibilities

    • Prepare and analyze a high volume of quarterly financial statements of significant complexity.
    • Prepare Quarterly and Annual Statement production reports
    • Prepare and enter monthly/quarterly close entries
    • Perform monthly/quarterly account reconciliations
    • Prepare, calculate and validate reports
    • Prepare wire transfers and journals
    • Manage documentation and filing
    • Tackle ad hoc analytic projects as assigned
    • Assist with internal and external audits as necessary

Qualifications/Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required.
    • Individual should have advanced proficiency with MS Excel, Tableau or SQL.
    • Two to five years of applicable experience, preferably in an insurance environment is required.
    • The position must have a heightened sense of urgency and is expected to be at a level beyond just reporting and/or balancing numbers and data.
    • Prior working knowledge of insurance profit sharing and accounting preferred.
Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $71,500 to $95,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees.
This position also offers additional incentive opportunities [through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance] OR [through cash compensation as part of a sales incentive plan (SIP).
