About the Role:
We’re seeking a Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist who can bring exceptional skills to contribute or own a variety of accounting duties related to vendor invoice processing, working closely with our Materials Procurement and Receiving operations.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and quick learner with a positive approach who is willing to roll up their sleeves and work with details to get things done, and has the ambition to grow personally and professionally in a fast-pace working environment.

Matterport is a remote workplace with headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA. This position can be based remotely in the United States. #LI-Remote

What you will do:

    • Process invoices, vouchers and expenses for an increasing volume of business
    • Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of internal and external inquiries of vendor invoice/payment issues
    • Work to gain approval from appropriate approver prior to invoice processing
    • Accurately assign account coding
    • Support month-end A/P close process relative to accurate accruals and vendor account reconciliations
    • Deliver accurate timely results dedicatedly in a dynamic, data-driven environment
    • Maintain A/P vendor files
    • Research and bring together the invoice/payment history to understand a vendor's complete history and profile
    • Record monthly credit card expenses
    • Provide support with Ad Hoc projects as needed

Who you are:

    • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
    • 3 - 4 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in an inventory environment
    • Knowledge of NetSuite to maximize automation and efficiency a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of functions across the organization
    • Team player
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
    • Must be highly organized, be able to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
    • Must have high level of accuracy, and be detail-oriented
