High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 3 years of full-time administrative support experience in a professional office environment
Ability to work with little or no supervision
Demonstrated organizational skills
Excellence in multitasking, prioritizing, and detail orientation
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite
Basic budget skills and expense tracking
Ability to protect and maintain confidentiality of information
Effective verbal and written communication skills
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
Associate's Degree
Experience with event/conference planning
Ability to engage effectively, respectfully, and professionally with multiple constituents at all levels in an organization, such as faculty members, staff, administration, students, parents, and university guests
A working knowledge of Porches, Banner, 25Live, Box, or similar software
Experience working in a college or university office
Familiarity with University of Dayton academic structures, procedures, and policies
Experience working in a research-active college or university science department office
Successful experience creating and maintaining and analyzing detailed records and data sheets to schedule events and maintain faculty and student records
Knowledge of and sensitivity to the Catholic and Marianist educational values of the University of Dayton.
