Job Description
THE ROLE: Senior Analyst, Corporate Development & Strategy
The Sr Analyst, Corporate Development & Strategy is responsible for assisting in the development of both short- and long-term strategic initiatives to advance A+E Networks. The position offers unique exposure to a wide variety of businesses within the media and entertainment industry. This role will be focused on researching and evaluating emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats and developing recommendations for how A+E should react both domestically and internationally. As part of this work, the Analyst will create basic business models and presentations for the team. This role will report directly to the VP of Corporate Development and Strategy.

Corporate Strategy:

Analyze competitive global industry trends, assess the impact to A+E Networks, and participate in projects to implement related solutions

Collaborate and coordinate with the CD&S team to assess, evaluate, and track corporate strategy and key growth initiatives (e.g., new media platforms, new business opportunities and geographic expansion)

Create compelling, persuasive, clear and concise presentation materials to communicate key learnings and recommendations to advise senior level executives

Build cross functional relationships to maintain industry projections/benchmarks and share best practices throughout the company
Corporate Development:

Evaluate, model and conduct due diligence on investment opportunities

Perform ongoing research, financial modeling and analysis to inform investment decisions

BA/BS

1 – 3 years of post-undergraduate work experience

Experience with Excel and PowerPoint, and comfort working with large amounts of data

Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles

Excellent problem-solving skills including prioritization, critical thinking and hypothesis development

Ability to develop cogent arguments and present them concisely to a range of stakeholders, including executives
Compensation
Annual Pay Range: $70,000 - $100,000
Annual Incentive Target: 10.00%
The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the
minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will
be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills,
