Mission for the position:

As an Analyst within Leap’s growing Data Analytics practice, you will be a key player in driving data-driven culture here at Leap. This position offers many growth opportunities, including hands-on experience with our technical data structures and cross-functional collaboration. You will work with Analytics leadership to develop data structures in BigQuery and Looker using DBT and LookML, bringing your unique analytics experience to help shape how teams use data on a daily basis.

As a member of the Analytics team, you will work closely with your manager to balance the needs of each team with Leap’s overall business goals. Your work will include both independent and collaborative projects, and the opportunity to build strong relationships in the tech organization and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide analytical support to Leap’s core teams (finance, accounting, business development, customer success, real estate, human resources, retail operations, merchandising, marketing, & retail)
• Use your expertise in data analysis to answer complex questions and drive meaning from Leap's data
• Work closely with analytics engineers to build complete, useful data structures
• Work cross-functionally with members of the Tech team to develop and prioritize new projects

Competencies for Success:

• 2+ years full-time data analytics or analytics engineering work, preferably related to retail, real estate, or finance
• Experience with data visualization/business intelligence tools
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries
• Experience working with a Cloud Data Warehouse like BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift
• A desire to promote data literacy throughout the organization and teach others to “fish”
• Humility and high aptitude for learning and self-improvement
• High level of comfort working along a dynamic and evolving roadmap
• An innate curiosity and desire to understand all parts of Leap’s business, ask great questions, and encourage innovation across the company
• Self-starting, highly accountable, able to anticipate problems and define and implement effective solutions

Nice-to-have:

• Experience performing statistical analysis and data exploration using R or Python
• Experience with structured data modeling in a tool like dbt
• Familiarity with LookML (Looker’s modeling layer)

• Better data-driven decision-making by internal Leap functions
• Increased data consistency, accuracy, and completeness across the Leap organization
