What You'll Do

You will be developing the data layer that serves as the base for analytics across multiple analytics teams.

As part of this role, you will interface with multiple analytics, business, and engineering stakeholders; you will develop data standards, manage BI tools and databases, and you will supervise the quality of data and analytics code.

Specifically, You Will

  • Develop a data layer that will serve as the base for cross functional analytics.
  • Develop data standards and best practices.
  • Interface with multiple analytics teams to reduce duplicative processes.
  • Develop processes for untangling the complexity and interdependencies of the analytical pipelines.
  • Manage data and code quality of pipelines developed by analysts.
  • Manage access to databases and BI tools.
  • Maintain usability of databases and BI tools.
  • Design and build data quality testing processes and monitoring of processes to ensure timely access to quality data for business partners and end users.
  • Classify data sources based on how they are best suited to answer business questions.

What You'll Bring

  • BSc/BA or a compatible certificate in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Sciences, Math or any other field that includes math and programming.
  • Prior experience designing analytics for critical business functions.
  • Proven track record of integrating data sources into systems landscape and providing working solutions for end users.
  • Adept at working with multiple stakeholders while maintaining process and structure.
  • Ability to lead multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Understand ETL architecture and data warehouse / data lake principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to create cooperation among stakeholders of diverse professional personal backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Team player who cares about the success of others
  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Hand-on experience with Tableau or a similar BI tool
  • Strong expertise in SQL
  • Proficient in Python
  • Ability to dive into complex Python and SQL code.
  • Experience with engineering development lifecycle, best practices and standards
