About the Role
Houzz is looking for an analytical and results-driven Business Operations (‘BizOps’) Associate to join our business operations team supporting Houzz’s Pro Solutions business. The Pro Solutions business serves our large, global base of home professionals with Houzz Pro, our purpose-built SaaS platform delivering business critical software and advertising solutions. Houzz Pro is one of the top-priority areas of investment for the company. The BizOps team has a unique vantage point on the business, that comes with high visibility and broad scope to drive strategic initiatives that unlock massive impact, while working collaboratively across the organization.
The ideal candidate is comfortable analyzing large datasets, building complex models, finding insights, and distilling them down to actionable business recommendations. This candidate will also bring an eagerness to learn, an appetite for problem-solving, and interest in or familiarity with SaaS businesses. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to help build a world-class business operations and strategy function.
What You’ll Do
As a member of the BizOps team, you will play an important role in driving Houzz’s growth by:
Tracking business performance & presenting to the executive team regularly
Developing quantitative models to help answer crucial business questions
Providing strategic thinking to help inform and influence key decisions
Collaborating cross-functionally to drive initiatives forward with partners across Product, Marketing, Sales, Data Science, and Finance
At a Minimum, We’d Like You to Have
BA/BS degree, preferably in a quantitative or technical field
2+ years of work experience in analytically rigorous roles (e.g., management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, or private equity)
Structured thinking process, strong problem-solving skills, and solid analytical abilities
Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel, as well as PowerPoint skills to execute quick, high-quality analyses and presentations
Ideally, You'll Also Have
Strong communication skills, capable of simplifying and clearly conveying complex topics to a wide range of audiences, including executives
Collaborative attitude and ability to build strong win-win relationships across the organization
Ability to quickly address problems independently, being a self-starter
Keen business sense and an acumen for finding business growth opportunities
Compensation, Benefits and Perks
This role has an annual starting salary range of $130,000 - $140,000. In addition to salary, you’re eligible for competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Houzz. Also, depending on the role, you could be eligible for an equity award. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including, but not limited to, skills, experience, and specific work location.
