Senior Azure Engineer

This team is supporting a federal Data Center site located in Kiln, Mississippi and requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust Badge and/or clearance. We are looking for a Senior Azure Engineer - The applicant must have engineering lead experience and extensive Azure knowledge and experience with integration, system analysis or programming experience, including developing Azure systems requirements and design specification. A passion for performance, strong desire for quality conformance, and attention to detail are prerequisites for this position. In this role, you will serve as a lead technical resource for all SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS cloud products as well as existing on-prem technologies. You will be working closely with the Network and Information Security Team to deliver infrastructure solutions to the organization. You will also own the solutions, engineering, and operations for Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality end-user experience while maintaining security and compliance.
Responsibilities:

• Application of activity and data modeling, transaction/workflow analysis, internal control, and risk analysis, coordinates and performs logical and physical systems designs.
• Proactive Customer Engagement – Understand and support their key solutions, workloads, and priorities on Azure including regular engagement on trend analysis, proactive monitoring, and event planning.
• Strategic Project Execution – Own project-level Azure issues and actively drive them towards resolution whilst ensuring support and engineering readiness for key milestones. Provides technical direction to personnel performing systems analysis and system/ subsystem development tasks.
• Critical Problem Resolution – Lead Azure Support to drive fast mitigation of issues impacting critical workloads and provide timely communication in a 24x7x365 global support environment and participate in global follow the sun on-call rotation coverage.
• Case Ownership – Directly own a subset of customer support cases end to end. Deliver a great customer support experience. Continuously grow Azure technical skills.
• RCA Ownership – Own and drive the timely delivery of quality root cause analysis (RCA) to understand and prevent future occurrence of reported issues.
• Engineering Engagement – Relentlessly champion and advocate driving product feedback, feature requests to address customer pain points and improve Azure resiliency.to support development, modernization, and migration in support of a government multi-cloud environment. Aside from technical qualifications, application should have effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Modern business methods and performance measurement techniques
• Reviews and prepares system documents and specifications.
• Change and Configuration Management best practices.
• Enforce quality standards for engineered solutions and promote continuous improvement.

• At least 8 years of experience in systems infrastructure design, support, and administration
• At least 4 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 in a hybrid environment.
• Azure AD, storage, and compute including Application Proxy (NDES), Storage Account, Virtual Machines, Virtual Desktop, Backup, Automation, and Functions
• Azure identity management including SSO (SAML), OAuth, MFA, RBAC, PIM, conditional access, monitoring / alerting, device registration, identity protection, and hybrid identity management / AD connect.
• Azure networking including ExpressRoute, VNet, Virtual WAN, VPN, NSG, Load Balancer, BGP, routing, and firewall concepts (Palo Alto, etc.)
• Experience collaborating with technical teams of diverse IT related skill sets.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of Mail routing and deploying in Government environments.
• Exemplary communication, analytical skills, and technical knowledge across the client environment.
• Ability to produce concise and clear technical documentation.
