Senior Backend Software Engineer (REMOTE! - U.K. Based)
About The Role:
We seek an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer for our quickly growing organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to join a robust team responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Accredible API and related infrastructure. As part of the Engineering team, you will report to a Team Lead, you will also be responsible to support customers with technical issues and assist with their integrations. - Helped improve product market fit and customer satisfaction by continuously improving the product. Provided significant contribution to the API codebase.

The overall codebase quality has been improved by the engineer and almost all changes have reflected this.
- Increased test coverage and quality.
Requirements:
Role based:
- Rails experience. You have used Rails professionally with thorough test-first plus sound code review processes, preferably in a SaaS environment.

Backend web technologies experience. You have been developing on the backend for at least 4 years.

Domain expertise. You have an applied knowledge of frontend design, development, and testing. Moreover, not only will you understand your team's domain well, but understand other team's domains to a certain extent also. You also have an understanding of the challenges surrounding accessibility and localisation

Documentation. You have a documentation mindset and understand when it is appropriate to leave comments, but biases towards self-documenting code.

Learns quickly. You have the ability to quickly absorb and make use of new information. You can research best practices and make use of them.

Communication. You are able to clearly and succinctly communicate ideas and problems to teammates and to customers.

Security lens. You are able to look for and recognize potential/actual security vulnerabilities within the code base.
