Senior Boatyard Project Manager - Renovation & Maintenance

Looking for a highly experienced and talented Senior Boatyard Project Manager to lead our well-established boatyard in the San Francisco Bay Area.

As a key member of our management team, you'll oversee all aspects of boatyard operations, including full-service boat engine repair, boat maintenance, renovations, and construction, while ensuring the highest safety, organization, and customer service standards.

Onboarding is targeted for late September to early October.

As a Senior Boatyard Project Manager, your responsibilities will include the following:

• Be the public face of the organization in the boat shop - the first and last contact with the boat owner
• Monitor safety and ensure safe practices following boat shop procedures
• Hands-on repair and workflow management
• Ensure organization and inventory of the boat shop, tools, materials, and supplies
• Develop and implement strategies to grow the business to the next level

As a Senior Boatyard Project Manager, your background should include the following:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager or General Manager in a boatyard environment
• Experience in managing budgets, 20 or more people, and schedules
• Demonstrated abilities to seek outside expertise when needed or desirable
• Familiarity with and sensitivity to handling and storing historic vessels in all conditions
• Experience with boatyard-specific project management software
• Mariner skills: experience and comfort working on the water and driving boats
• Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and lead a strong team, motivate by being hands-on rather than an office manager
