AIUSA’s Campaigns & Crisis Response Unit leads the design and implementation of the organization’s human rights Campaigns and crisis response efforts. Our Campaigns are intended to make a real difference in peoples’ lives as a step toward transforming our world to one in which all human rights of all people, everywhere, are respected, protected and fulfilled. The Amnesty movement defines a Campaign as a highly focused, time-bound, and winnable project, strategically planned, coordinated, and communicated to achieve an explicitly defined external objective. The organization’s Campaigns use a range of tactics and a high concentration of human and operational resources. AIUSA’s Campaigns can be on any human rights topic, issue or case, in the US or globally. Advancing inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) are at the heart of our Campaigns and everything we do.
The Senior Campaigner creates and implements effective human rights campaign strategies that make impact, also serving as a key thought partner with the rest of the Campaigns & Crisis Response Unit to help AIUSA become a more effective campaigning organization. This position has two primary responsibilities:
(1) Identify campaign objectives in collaboration with stakeholders, and design effective and achievable campaign strategies to win the campaign and grow the human rights movement.
(2) Manage and implement campaign strategies in collaboration with a cross-organizational Campaign Team

If anyone wishing to enter the office or attend our events is not vaccinated, they will need to have tested negative for COVID within 24 hours of entry. We expect that all staff and visitors entering the office or attending AIUSA events will, by accessing our facilities, be attesting that they are vaccinated or that they have tested negative within 24 hours of entry.
