Senior Clerical Assistant

Zurich is currently looking for a Senior Clerical Assistant to join our Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team. RCIS is one of the leading crop insurance providers in the U.S. RCIS offers insurance protection in all 50 states through a national network of about 3,600 licensed agents. RCIS offers a wide range of private product coverages, including a diverse selection of named-peril options, supplemental and stand-alone insurance products as well as federal crop insurance plans through the United States Department of Agriculture’s Risk Management Agency. Together with RCIS agents, we protect America’s farmers and ranchers.

As a Senior Clerical Assistant, one will be responsible for a variety of tasks:

• 
  Reach out to agents as needed for documents pertaining to suspensions and other job duties, as needed.

• Performance of repetitive tasks such as scanning, filing documents, fax transmissions, e-mail correspondence, disburse incoming mail, write letters, and address changes.

• Complete department assignments such as research suspensions and perform data entry.

• Research and resolve departmental issues.

• Implement approved business processes.

• Manage Power of Attorney and Assignment of Indemnity workload for staff that assists during busy times.

• May manage correspondence and respond to general written or verbal inquiries.

• May train others on basic job duties of the department.

• Ability to work independently and is a self-starter.

• Able to multi-task and prioritize work as needed or required.

• Maintain required trainings and attend department meetings as required.

• Assist team members and underwriters with workload, as requested.

Basic Qualifications

• 
  High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Clerical area
  OR

• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and No prior experience required in the Clerical area

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  Crop Insurance industry experience

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
