About the Role:
Due to continuing company success and expansion plans, our Mobility (Automotive) Consulting Group - focusing on Automotive Aftermarket & Retail - is seeking a Senior Consultant based in our Detroit office, to shape the next stage of growth within this well established client facing location.

As a Senior Consultant at Frost & Sullivan, you will be part of a dynamic global team that strives for excellence in work and social engagements. The person is principally responsible for the management and execution of consulting projects, building client relationship throughout the delivery of impactful strategic recommendations, and also contribution to commercial activities.

You will undertake business to business research over the telephone and through secondary sources, analyse industry trends and assimilate market data. In addition to the consulting responsibilities, the candidate will take ownership in managing and delivering strategic consulting engagement projects globally. The role involves working on bespoke strategy projects, working directly with large multinational clients and supporting the consulting division on confidential research assignments. The Candidates (Consultant/ Sr. Consultant) will also be the definitive point of contact for clients and will be required to demonstrate expert knowledge of the markets and develop strong business partnerships.

Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of global consulting projects
  • Be a thought leader on after sales mega trends / disruptors and present specific trends at client events and conferences related and relevant to automotive aftermarket & retail
  • Project manage consulting projects, if required
  • Support in drafting winning proposals
  • Presentation at conferences on specific industry themes
  • Identify relevant strategies for clients based on market insights
  • Facilitate workshops with clients to prioritise possible actions
  • Deadlines and timelines should be adhered to, and also taking ownership of individual deliverables within the specified timelines


Typical projects can cover:

  • Development of strategies to win new customers/retain existing customers
  • Design market transformation roadmap owing to digital disruptions
  • Testing of new business models and value propositions
  • Development of go-to-market strategies
  • Benchmark companies’ strategies and organisations to describe Best Practices
  • Identification and prioritization of strategic options looking at long and shorter term acquisition opportunities
  • Analysis of market entry options with scenario modeling
  • Evaluate strategic roadmaps through detailed action planning
  • Strategic and Competitive Due Diligence
  • Partner and/or customer prospecting
Required Competencies:


  • MBA or Master’s Degree in business studies or associated fields
  • Engineering background preferred, not mandatory
  • 5-7 years of experience in Strategy consulting – experience in Automotive Consulting, specifically aftermarket & retail preferred, not mandatory
  • Demonstrated interest in future trends
  • Business acumen and analytical ease
  • Interactions with C-suite
  • Practical experience in strategic or competitive due diligence would be a distinct plus
  • Demonstrating personal qualities that include being strategic thinker, self-starter, fast-learner, visionary, pragmatic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with complete fluency in spoken and written English
  • Experience in working in U.S consulting firms will be appreciated, working with multi-cultural team members
  • Ability to work autonomously and also effectively in a team entourage
  • Strong ability to acquire, analyse and manage information, with experience in conducting primary and secondary research, trends analysis, market assessment and synthesis of qualitative and quantitative data
  • Strong client relationship building skills
  • Cross-industry professional experience preferred
  • Are Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Take ownership to work independently with remote supervision
  • Can multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Are disciplined and adhere to high-quality standards
  • Is a strategic thinker; understands how operational activities are vital in supporting the overall strategy of the business
