A little bit about who we're looking for…

As the Senior Content Writer & Strategist for Vaco Holdings' Global Marketing team, you will create strategic content for various channels (primarily digital but also some print). As the Senior Content Writer & Strategist, you will collaborate with colleagues and subject matter experts from across the enterprise, including five distinct companies that make up our family of brands. It will be imperative that you develop a perspective around target audiences for these various brands, and that you develop custom content that: drives our target audiences to complete an action, contributes to a great user experience (UX) and elevates our brand, positioning Vaco and the family of brands as sought-after thought leaders.

Job duties & responsibilities

• Writes, edits, proofreads and copyedits content for various channels including online platforms and print publications
• Researches, validates and develops clear and compelling content that adheres to required branding and style guidelines
• Incorporates search engine optimization best practices in all materials produced
• Ensures that all grammar, spelling, flow, tone and style are appropriate for the writing project
• Utilizes content management tools to prepare materials

Qualifications:

Education & experience we're looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in content writing
• 3+ years in content strategy roles (either in an agency setting or a variety of in-house roles that cover multiple industries)
• Experience owning content strategy deliverables, like content audits, messaging strategies and UX writing
• Being highly skilled with words is essential; if people have told you throughout your life that 'you have a way with words' or if your friends frequently called on you to write their book reports or essays in school, we'd like to talk with you

Technical skills:

• Strong Microsoft Office Skills, including MS Word and MS PowerPoint
• Familiarity with PR/collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, HARO, Monday.com or other project management tools and methodologies)
• SharePoint experience a plus
