Become a Senior Data Analytics Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be a member of the Transportation Electrification Project Management (TEPM) team within New Development Planning in Transmission & Distribution and will report directly to the Senior Manager of TEPM. This team is responsible for managing SCE’s Clean Energy projects including Charge Ready, Commercial EV, Small Generation Interconnection and Added Facilities. This person will help with the development of reporting dashboards by extracting data from various sources to transform data into actionable information and presentations for stakeholders and senior management.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Responsible for TEPM’s analytics, data interpretation, data extraction, and dashboard development.
  • Develop and create presentations for senior management in support of T&D strategies and goals.
  • Track and report on Clean Energy project performance as mandated by CPUC.
  • Monitor and document completion of all Clean Energy projects.
  • Act as the lead for training new members of the TEPM team on reporting and use of databases.
  • Helps develop new tools to improve efficiency of data collection (SharePoint, PowerBI, etc.).
  • Contributes to the refinement of existing processes and procedures that contributes to the achievement of SCE’s Clean Energy goals.
  • Support Project Management team with ad-hoc requests regarding strategic program and financial planning, including forecasts, outlooks, scenario analysis, and presentations.
  • Ability to build and foster working relationships with cross-organization program Teams.
Qualifications


The essentials

  • Five years or more of experience performing Data Analysis.
  • Two or more years of experience using advanced functions of Microsoft Excel such as V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, and Macros.

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience creating dashboards with SAS - Viya, Power Bi, Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
  • Excel Index/Match
  • Ability to create database queries.
  • Proficient with MS Access, SAP, and Ariba
  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Experience in a project management organization
  • Experience setting up and managing collaboration tools for project teams (e.g. SharePoint, Teams, Planner, etc.).

  • The position’s work mode is remote. Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Hiring organizations can add further requirements related to specific jobs.
