Overview:
Are you a passionate Database DevOps Engineer, who enjoys collaborating with colleagues using cutting-edge technology to help support users' work? You will provide analysis of business requirements, assist in the design and operational support of 1,000+ database environments; on premise and in cloud environments for our Software as a Service (SaaS). Responsibilities:
- Maintain SQL Server databases in a production high availability environment

Install and upgrade SQL Server databases and their applicable tools

Create and modify primary database storage structures and objects

Monitor and optimize performance of SQL Server for integration with other software

Troubleshoot various problems that arise

Prepare and /or maintain a variety of technical and user documentation

Manage security of the databases

Set up disaster recovery strategies
-
Manage backup and recovery procedures
Requirements:
- 5+ years of SQL Server database experience

Software development or DevOps engineer experience
-
Administration experience using scripting languages (Bash/PowerShell)

Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, or mathematics
Recommended Qualifications:
- Experience with scripting and command line utilities
-
Experience with managing cloud hosting database

Familiarity with other relational database technologies (PostgreSQL, mySQL etc)

Programming experience

Web server knowledge
-
Understanding of Esri software including ArcGIS for Server

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $114,400 - $187,200
