To help drive the transition to renewable energy, we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. You are going to work closely with a team of experts on North America's most significant renewable projects. Read about COWI's focus on sustainability here . Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Support COWI's renewable energy and green fuels international project execution and be involved in report writing/calculations and technical discussion
  • Carry out technical due diligence/feasibility studies for renewable projects in North America
  • Do the techno-economic assessment of renewable energy generation and green fuels processes
  • Guide consulting management and customers on hydrogen and green fuels projects

The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. On top of that, you will:

  • Hold a degree in electrical engineering with more than 10 years of relevant experience in high and medium-voltage transmission, distribution, and transformation (AC/DC) power systems, preferably in solar and wind renewables
  • Preferably have worked in multi-disciplinary projects
  • Possess a good understanding of solar and/or wind renewables, transmission systems and configurations of substations, switchgear, rectifiers, filters, power transformers, FACT devices, earthing/bonding/lightning protection, etc.
  • Have an understanding of grid connection, capital expenditures and operational expenses
  • Understand the content and purpose of feasibility studies and the design phases from pre-feasibility, pre-FEED, FEED, etc. in renewable and green fuel projects
  • Understand the EPC tender process and can bridge data gaps
