Summary
The Enterprise Applications Services (EAS) Supply Chain Management team is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and skilled Senior Applications Engineer to design, build, and support solutions in Oracle E Business Suite and other Supply Chain related platforms and applications managed by the team. This person will work closely with stakeholders and team members across EAS to deliver value to our customers through quality solutions and problem solving.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background with an understanding of Supply Chain business processes, including experience navigating, extending, and customizing Oracle Supply Chain modules and Oracle cloud solutions.
Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions
- Responsible for developing and customizing applications using Oracle EBS technologies. Collaborate with functional analysts and business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and develop application modules using Oracle EBS tools such as Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and Oracle Workflow.
- Responsible for identifying customization needs, designing and implementing extensions using Oracle EBS APIs, personalization features, and custom development tools.
- Collaborate with boundary partners in designing and implementing integrations with third-party systems, legacy applications, or other Oracle products like Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle SOA Suite, or Oracle Integration Cloud.
- Responsible for end-to-end testing, Integration testing, identifying, and resolving performance bottlenecks, optimizing SQL queries, tuning system configurations, and applying best practices for performance improvement.
- Provide tier3 support and troubleshooting assistance to end users and functional analysts to ensure smooth operation of the Oracle EBS environment. Responsible to work with Oracle Support to resolve critical issues in timely manner.
- Play a key role in upgrading existing EBS environments to newer versions, analyzing patches, and implementing new features and enhancements.
- Responsible for documenting design decisions, development activities, and configurations for future reference. Share knowledge and expertise with other team members and provide guidance on Oracle EBS development best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; AA/AS +14 years' related experience, or 20 years' related experience with no degree.
- Requires strong knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite, preferably R12 and later. Solid understanding of the Oracle EBS architecture, modules, and functionalities.
- Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, knowledge of Java, and Oracle Application Framework (OAF).
- Proficient in using Oracle EBS development tools such as Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Workflow, and Oracle BI Publisher.
- Familiarity with integration methodologies, such as Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Integration Cloud, or web services, for seamless integration with external applications.
- Understanding of software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for understanding complex business needs, designing effective solutions, and troubleshooting issues that may arise during development and implementation.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Committed to continuous learning to stay updated with latest advancements, new features, and industry trends.
Preferred
- Degree in related discipline strongly desired (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, etc.).
- Familiarity with Oracle Integration Cloud Service.
- Familiarity with Oracle E-Commerce Gateway.
- Experience in telecommunications industry desired.
