Senior Manager, Legal Advisory

In this role, you will sit on the Legal Advisory Team and will be responsible for providing customers (corporate legal departments at Fortune 500 companies) with invaluable guidance on legal pricing and strategic sourcing with respect to their outside counsel management programs. As a client-facing consultant, you will provide industry expertise and advice on legal and beyond legal sourcing including:

  • Alternative Fee Arrangements & innovative pricing models across a range of matters and portfolio engagements
  • Matter & professional services scoping
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and ESG in professional services
  • Broader legal spend analysis & management


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Providing strategic consultation to lawyers and department heads of corporate law departments to drive best practises and outcomes in competitive RFP processes
  • Consulting on Alternative Fee Arrangement strategies and provide recommended strategies in relation to competitive bidding and special sourcing projects
  • Educational workshops including thought leadership webinars, content creation and writing articles about best practices and concepts
  • Building legal pricing templates and AFA best-practice guidelines
  • Externally provide technical support to clients and partner law firms
  • Internally provide strategic direction and input into the product roadmap then implement new initiatives to drive client success


What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree required, law degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of legal pricing or legal operations experience required, with at least 2+ years of client-facing consulting experience
  • Experience negotiating alternative fee arrangements
  • ability and passion to train and excite teams on pricing best practices
  • Passionate about technology and moving the needle in legal
  • Knowledge of legal pricing and experience with the law firm RFP process is a great-to-have
  • Adaptable, self-starter attitude and excited about new technologies and changing landscapes


For NYC-based applicants, the base salary range is $150,000-170,000.
