As an advisor to our Sales team on pricing, products, processes, and policies this role will focus heavily on partnering with our Sales team to strategize and facilitate the close of high-quality deals in terms of pricing governance and profitability. Advising on deals could include margin analysis, developing non-standard terms and deal structures, and providing pricing recommendations based on customer data and insights. This individual will function as a key approver for Deal Desk, support executive decision making for our largest and most strategic customers and prospects, and act as a facilitator between internal stakeholders including Sales, Revenue Operations, Marketing, Finance and Accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Help set competitive pricing across VidMob's product offerings in accordance with pricing strategy to best position the Sales team to successfully close deals
- Conduct exploratory data analysis across data sources to understand the performance of our pricing strategy and find opportunities for optimization
- Communicate and present data analyses, visualizations, and insights to key stakeholders. Drive thorough quantitative analyses using internal and external data to support pricing, packaging, segmentation, and discounting recommendations
- Analyze deal terms with Sales partners, advise on in-process negotiations, and propose creative solutions to optimize business outcomes
- Approve discounts and promotions, and manage approvals for non-standard terms and conditions
- Gather insights and monitor pricing trends; perform pricing audits and analyze the impact of pricing changes, to inform go-forward pricing implementation and strategy
- Help to automate pricing processes and devise a scalable way to execute the pricing strategy and subsequently measure pricing performance
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in data analysis, deal desk, pricing, revenue operations, or finance
- Proven track record of building pricing strategies and revenue optimization for SaaS products; Adtech/Martech experience preferred
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel; experience with BI and analytical tools, a plus
- Salesforce experience, with CPQ and/or quoting system experience, a plus
- Strong ability to create, articulate, and present a persuasive recommendation regarding pricing proposals to key stakeholders within a highly cross-functional organization
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative pricing research techniques
- An inquisitive mind and strong business acumen to investigate complex problems and arrive at data driven solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with and influence the decisions of different levels of management
Annual base salary range for this role performed in California is $100,000-$137,000. Total compensation will also include equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401k).
