Senior Manager, Rapid7 Labs Program Manager

Rapid7 is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and strategic communications professional to build and transform the Rapid7 Labs threat publications program. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership for the entire communications strategy and be part of the collaboration and coordination for the publication, and tracking of all external threat publications.

About the Role

Reporting to the SVP, Chief Scientist, the Senior Manager for Rapid7 Labs Threat communications will develop and implement processes necessary to ensure alignment on the development of quality controls for outbound content. This includes the waterfalling of the output to key internal and external stakeholders to ensure maximum reach is achieved, and the appropriate tracking is in place to measure the effectiveness of every output.

The successful candidate is passionate about proactively generating creative ideas, setting strategy, and implementing plans, and will have a proven track record of leading communication content creation, project and measurement management, and strategic relationship building.

In this role, you will:

• Build and evangelize integrated research communications campaigns across Marketing and Sales.

• Align with Sales and Marketing Ops to ensure measurement of research output success, and deliver outcomes to enable future strategic decisions on research imperatives.

• Ensure that all communications are aligned with and reflect the mission, vision and values of Rapid7, and strengthen the company's brand and identity internally.

• Identify and architect a best-in-class process to ensure appropriate quality assurance is in place for all outbound Rapid7 Labs content. Working closely with researchers to ensure new content aligns with the agreed strategic approach, and support where necessary vulnerability disclosure processes.

• Work collaboratively with the corporate communications team to maximize PR and social media outcomes..

• Collaborate effectively across internal teams, cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including the executive team, go-to-customer teams, customer success, brand, marketing, people ops, etc.

• Build internal alignment around a new and enhanced internal communications program through ongoing executive and cross-functional consensus-building efforts

• Lead the measurement and analysis of metrics to support continuous program improvement.

• Interact with and support executive leadership while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. Provide direct support to the executive team by writing and designing announcements and presentations, developing key messages, and supporting people development sessions.

The skills you’ll bring include:

• 10+ years of experience in campaign management and operations with deep experience running and executing content campaigns globally.

• Develop and manage all research programming and content pipeline in alignment with other areas of marketing, product and external stakeholders..

• Coordination of all reseach content ensuring tracking is in place, campaign is communicated to all stakeholders, all pieces are delivered on time and accurately.

• Develop and execute processes to streamline approval processes internally and extnerallyA strategic communicator withuperlative writing and a storytelling midset across a variety of mediums.

• Strong relationship management skills, including with internal stakeholders and partners, as well as cross-functional teams.

• Proven experience balancing strategic, critical thinking that meets overall business goals, with more tactical execution activities.

• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous, short- and long-term projects and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

• Analytical background, naturally inquisitive and always seeking answers.
