Job objectives

  • Disciplinary leadership of the Operational Planning Americas team, which ensures:
  • availability, quality and on time delivery of products & services related to both the Americas region, and globally for selected product lines;
  • inventory targets are met and slow mover costs are minimized;
  • increased advantage by driving inventory efficiency across our product lines

Primary responsibilities

  • Leadership of approximately 17 team members across 2 sites (Peachtree City, Georgia and Dulles, Virginia)
  • Responsible for the execution of Planning as part of our Forecast-2-Inventory process, against applicable critical metrics, covering the following Product Lines:
  • All Airbus Channel Product lines in the Americas region
  • Allocated Satair Channel Product lines globally
  • The A220 Product Line globally
  • Responsible for the consolidation and execution of material demand plans from the Program Support & Solutions teams, to deliver availability for our Satair Service products and Program Support obligations.
  • Deliver on a team budget responsibility of over $350m, while respecting availability targets and optimizing inventory Turn Rates.
  • Closely coordinate and collaborate with the following organizations:
  • Planning: Global peers with teams located in Germany, Denmark, Singapore and China
  • Product Management and Sales: To secure inventory in-line with the sales plan for all Product Lines under the Operational Planning Americas remit
  • Supply Management: To secure the timely delivery of the inventory plan
  • Warehousing and Logistics: To ensure the timely availability of the inventory plan

General:

  • To supervise the department's staffing needs in connection with staff holidays, flex time and working hours
  • Set clear objectives, targets and success criteria for own area in accordance with management and ensure compliance, this includes annual reviews and qualification assessment, skills development; on-board and train newcomers
  • Keep own employees advised about wider Satair and Airbus business
  • Hold departmental meetings with documented notes
  • Prioritize both own tasks and the tasks of the department
  • Ensure functional effectiveness in order to meet defined objectives
  • Establish and ensure reporting of agreed critical metrics both internally and externally
  • To implement and ensure collaborative efforts between Planning, Product & Service Management and Sales, especially on forecasting of material requirements
  • To achieve high material availability, according to company plan
  • To reduce total supply chain costs (material stock, obsolescence, logistics)
  • Collaborate and share knowledge with key supplier employees
  • Control that planning policies are followed
  • Ensure implementation, update and adherence of processes
  • Advocate, supervise and communicate SLAs with internal and external customers
  • Ensure Planning team meets both internal and external expectations

Secondary responsibilities:

  • Participate in development of "Supplier and Customer Offering"
  • Participate in the development of the Satair overall business
  • Improve collaboration with suppliers and customers, especially around delivery performance

Education:

  • A Bachelors' Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Business Management or a related field required.

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory / leadership experience
  • Minimum 5 years of Supply Chain experience or similar field, preferably in the aviation industry

Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
