Smart City Apartment Locating is a human-centered apartment locating service that saves renters time and money when searching for a new place to live.

We've built our brand with a team of marketing experts in-house who know the industry, know properties, and know how to talk to renters and now we're looking for a senior marketing expert to join our team to lead them to the next step.

What will you do?

• Manage a marketing team of 7+
• Be the marketing subject matter expert for the company
• Hold your department accountable to results
• Project manage all marketing efforts
• Work cross-functionally with other department leaders
• Be agile and adjust execution strategies based on current business needs, handle process review and improvement
• Create periodical reports of department, team, functional and/or market insights
• Develop a deep understanding of the regions and what works in each
• Identify new content and social network marketing opportunities
• Participate in team meetings and collaborative sessions, generate new ideas, and execute
• Report to the Director of Marketing and Executive Team
• Hire, fire, train, and improve/maintain all operations within the marketing department

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Full decision-making responsibilities and management for all marketing managers and team members including but not limited to compensation packages, hiring, firing, performance management, and general performance.

Required Education and Experience:

• 3+ years of sales or marketing experience, social media or event marketing preferred
• 3+ years of leadership experience, preferably managing marketing teams
• Experience running large social media teams is ideal
• Comfortable with data entry & cold calling
• Attention to detail
• Effective time management skills
• Strong listening skills

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Instagram and Facebook for business
• Google Analytics
• Wordpress
• Asana (or other project management software)
• Canva (or other image / photo editing tool)

Physical Requirements:

• Travel to and touring properties around the city may periodically be required
• Travel to other markets may periodically be required
• Assures that safety regulations are followed at all times
• Adherence to compliance measures implemented by governing bodies such as but not limited to OSHA & the CDC. Follows policies and procedures including infection control, universal precautions, and exposure control plans when performing daily tasks.
• Reports hazardous conditions, accidents, and incidents to the immediate supervisor
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
• Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching

Expected Hours of Work:

• Typical business hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday, availability for escalations may be needed outside of normal business hours.

Travel:

• Up to 10% of the time.
