Arup is looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Specialist to join our East Region. This role can be based out of New York City or Washington, D.C. In this role you will work with local, regional, and global leaders to create and implement winning marketing strategies.
This hands-on role, requires operating at multiple levels – engaging in visioning and strategy discussions and actively translating those discussions into actions. The role includes:
• Collaborating in winning work strategies – supporting capture planning, preparation of submission materials, and developing proposals.
• Coordinating and preparing marketing collateral - qualification packages, proposal responses, including forms and specialized documents.
• Supporting our knowledge management program - developing and updating marketing materials, including project sheets, resumes and other collateral.
• Maintaining our client relationship management system and other databases.
• Supporting and coordinating events, seminars, and conferences.
Desired Qualifications:
You have excellent time management / prioritization skills, strong written English language skills, and exceptional attention to detail. You are outgoing and comfortable working with staff at all levels of seniority. You are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, especially InDesign, Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Your positive attitude is as important as any specific skills you might bring to this role.
You have a bachelor’s degree and excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills. Ideally, you bring 6+ years of experience as a marketing specialist in the A/E/C industry, preferably in the public-sector realm or perhaps in another service industry. Previous experience with large-scale prime proposals a plus. Experience with mentoring or supervising staff is preferred.
It would be great if you have experience with Microsoft CRM, but we will train you on this powerful system at the heart of our marketing program. Involvement with local marketing and or A/E/C organizations a plus.
