The Network Security Team is looking for a highly skilled Sr Network Security Engineer to join our growing organization. The primary function of this role is working with other business units within the organization to design, implement and support network security solutions. This role will require a great degree of technical experience in python-based automation, advanced routing skills, detailed understanding of packet capture analysis as well as network segmentation methodologies. The ideal candidate will be a team player that is both highly technical yet humble that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The ability to effectively document and provide knowledge transfer to various team members around the globe will be critical for the success of the team.

Responsibilities

• Perform firewall documentation, design, implementation, and support
• Document network security procedures and standards and cross-train teammates when appropriate
• Configure and maintain site to site VPN and ClientVPN using Palo Alto firewalls
• Provide tier three support for ticket queue escalation and assist in operations when needed
• Configure features on Palo Alto including custom applications, ssl decryption and security profile tuning
• Assist in extending the current python-based automation platform
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
• Regular attendance at the workplace in a traditional office environment may be required
• Performs other related duties as required or requested

Requirements

• Direct Palo Alto firewall administration experience using both GUI & CLI for advanced functions
• Strong understanding and practical implementation of Python for use in automation tasks
• Strong understanding and practical implementation of advanced routing protocols, OSPF & BGP
• Experience with protecting rapidly evolving cloud-based applications like o365 and Google.
• Understanding of network segmentation and methodologies that enable it to be both manageable and scalable

As required by the New York City Human Rights Law, Cboe provides a reasonable range of minimum base salary for roles that may be performed in New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, level of experience, etc. For New York City only, the range of starting base salary for this role is $112,000-$185,000. Additional incentive compensation and benefits may be available.
