Senior Operations Manager

:
Serves as a key partner between logistics, merchandising, planning and cruise line operations in the development and execution of key strategies to maintain data and inventory standards, improve product flow and speed to market. Analyzes current operational and business trends, cross-departmental processes, and historical data to find opportunities and risks to provide recommendations to improve business potential. The Senior Operations Manager will work in a "hands on" capacity, and it will be responsible for maintaining inventory and data integrity standards, controls and procedures, and operational enhancements. Also responsible for driving strategy to ensure execution of cycle count cadence annual physical inventories for the distribution center.
What you’ll be doing::
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supports company direction by providing leadership and developing strategic action plans to accomplish department goals and objectives.
  • Drive and support cross departmental projects and company initiatives.
  • Support Supply Chain and Cruise Line Retail projects to drive profit, operational improvements and innovation.
  • Support vendor onboarding and vendor partnership process through training and knowledge sharing to improve product flow.
  • Support Logistic technology projects to drive innovation and operational enhancements.
  • Recommend and implement business improvements and simplification processes to all Logistics work centers.
  • Support Reverse Logistic optimization to assist with inventory agility.
  • Provide direction and support to ensure Cycle Counts and annual physical inventories for all warehouse locations are scheduled and implemented timely and accurately.
  • Provide guidance and support to Logistic Management to ensure inventory and data integrity through effective controls and checks and balances.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure performance, speed and quality of services.
  • Union environment- Union negotiations, Union contract administration, direct negotiations with International Union Rep where appropriate.
  • Lead and implement safety requirements, conduct safety meetings, and lead safety investigations
  • Streamline warehouse processes and procedures to ensure optimal efficiency.
What we’re looking for::
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of five years in Supply Chain, Warehouse Management and Distribution
  • Four-year college degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Previous experience leading a dynamic, multi-functional, multi-cultural, bonded environment
  • Previous high volume production, material handling and power equipment experience (forklift and cherry picker) experience desirable
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Experience in establishing and implementing operational policies and procedures

  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to lead complex projects

Other:
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is permitted, employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and must work 30 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Physical Demands:

Office environment with frequent sitting, walking and standing, occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling use of office machinery. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Oral and auditory enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication automated devise such as the telephone.
