About the role

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Payroll Analyst to join our highly valued Finance team! As the Sr. Payroll Analyst, you will have the opportunity to support our global payroll operations and ensure that payroll is processed timely, accurately, and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. In this role, you will partner closely with various stakeholders to streamline and improve processes in order to support the Company's rapid growth.

This role reports directly into the Director of Global Payroll.

This will be a hybrid role, based in our Redwood City, CA headquarters 2-3 days a week.


What you'll do

  • Process US and international payroll for North America, EMEA and APAC and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Perform day-to-day payroll operations including processing new hires, merit increases, terminations, LOAs, bonuses, liens, and garnishments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Participate in monthly close activities by preparing journal entries and reconciliations for all payroll and benefit related accounts
  • Manage external audits relating to payroll and 401k, and pension for UK
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party service providers
  • Respond timely to employee inquiries concerning payroll related matters
  • Partner closely with HR on employee benefits and withholding (401K, FSA, HSA, etc) elections
  • Assist with the payroll registration and setup for new locations as needed
  • Identify and implement payroll process improvements that will enable the Company to scale
  • Good knowledge of SOX and compliance controls, policies, and procedures documentation
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting and projects as needed

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other relevant experience
  • 3+ years of relevant payroll experience
  • Experience processing international/global payroll
  • Comprehensive understanding of payroll best practices as well as Federal and State regulations
  • Strong proficiency of ADP Workforce Now, Cloud Pay, Celergo, Microsoft Excel (VLookup, etc) and Google Suite of products
  • Experience with Netsuite is a plus
  • Good knowledge of US GAAP preferred
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
