Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee buying process for 135+ retail locations nationwide
• Develop centralized buying process
• Use forward looking calendar to project buying needs
• Initiate purchase orders through 3rd party procurement site
• Purchase inventory according to negotiated contract thresholds for rebate consideration
• Communicates and resolves supply problems which could impact business operations
• Work with senior management on implementing new SKU's
• Initiates location transfers, as necessary
• Review on hand inventory for expiration dates and initiate transfers to ensure full utilization
• Review and summarize prior month buying performance to identify missed targets, overages and shortages.
• Explore alternate sources or SKU's for various supplies.
• Manage and assign tasks to Junior Buyer and Inventory Administrator
• Develop and maintain relationship with vendor representatives
• Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred
• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in procurement environment, medical industry preferred
• Knowledge of ERP system; Netsuite preferred.
• Experience with Coupa procurement or similar procurement platform
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently and quickly with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to operate in a fast growing and thriving work environment

Location: Remote position however East Coast preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
