About the role.

Product Marketing at Lively serves as the voice of our product to the customer, linking product features and benefits to their needs. Product Marketing is responsible for driving Go-To-Market – the strategies and tactics to win over a specific market (buyer), and get them to buy our products.

As the Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will act as a cross-functional member of Lively's agile Growth Product Team and report to the Director of Product Marketing. Working in partnership with members of Product, Marketing, Design and customer-facing teams (Sales, Customer Service, Audiology) on all Growth goals, you will lead the development and execution of all product marketing and copywriting efforts for our customer acquisition and revenue-generating initiatives.

Key goals for this role include: identifying opportunities to enhance our offering; building an efficient, agile product launch process; driving higher product and feature adoption rates; and creating copy that drives increased conversion rates on key product website pages. What you'll do.

Customer & Market Research & Product Positioning:

  • Help inform and prioritize the growth product roadmap with research insights, bringing ideas for new product/service offerings, ideal product assortment, pricing models, and product messaging
  • Conduct customer research and interviews, and collaborate with Sales, Audiology & Customer Experience to understand customer needs and their decision-making processes, and develop optimal positioning and messaging of our hearing aids and care services
  • Collect competitive intelligence to understand the features, price, positioning of our hearing aid models against our competitors, and inform product strategy and value propositions

New Product/Feature Launches:

  • Serve as GTM lead and develop go-to-market plans including positioning & messaging briefs and marketing strategies
  • Develop product-specific buyer personas and journey maps
  • Conduct messaging testing to ensure messaging resonates with target audience
  • Collaborate with Marketing on the channel and campaign plan and strategy
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Audiology Managers to create and deliver messaging trainings and collateral including scripting, objection handlers, battlecards, etc.
  • Post-launch, work with Product & Marketing to understand if messaging is converting, and if not, update and optimize positioning and messaging and marketing strategy

Copywriting:

  • Write product copy on key web pages (e.g. taglines, descriptions, features, benefits, FAQs)
  • Write UX copy across our website (e.g. CTA buttons, tooltips, navigational elements, interface language, accessibility content)
  • Develop new methods for storytelling and product functionalities
  • Develop crisp communications and experiences that are simple, persuasive, and on-brand
  • Lean into your content strategy skills to guide when and how information is conveyed

What you'll bring.

  • 3-5 years of product marketing or similar experience, including B2C / DTC experience
  • 2+ years of experience in copywriting for both web and mobile (product writing, content design, content strategy, UX writing) – a creative and unique voice!
  • Robust GTM experience launching multiple products, including launching new pricing models
  • Empathy for users and strong research skills
  • Agile experience: participated in opportunity sizing, requirements gathering, execution and delivery
  • Excellent collaboration skills: a team player with strong relationship building skills and the ability to gain buy-in and support from cross-functional partners
  • Flexible and driven: a skilled multitasker who can prioritize and pivot on-the-fly, with a desire to move quickly from information gathering to launching a finished product
  • A systems-thinker who loves to build simple and elegant experiences for complex problems
  • A data-driven, analytical approach to measuring results; familiarity with conversion rate optimization, A/B testing and relevant software platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field is preferred
