Senior Program Manager - Aerospace

Join our team at Albany Engineered Composites as a Senior Program Manager for our Salt Lake City facility! We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting both government and commercial programs and can help us deliver exceptional results. As a Senior Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Program Management team to support programs from inception through completion, while communicating effectively with internal customers and functional organizations.

In this Senior Program Manager role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cost, schedule, and technical performance of our programs are met. You will lead a team and continuously challenge and positively influence team members to drive successful results, while also managing safety, quality, schedule, people, and cost. You will also participate in contract negotiations and preparation of proposals/business plans, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial terms/conditions of the contract.

As the primary customer contact for program activities, you will lead program review sessions with customers and site leadership to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. You will establish and manage milestones, monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, and identify program risks/problems and obtain solutions.

• Provide leadership and direction to the program team
• Manage the performance of program functions - contract, finance, engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations
• Identify and assess risk and opportunities with appropriate mitigating and capitalizing actions
• Ensure that the programs/projects are on schedule to the program milestones
• Manage budgets and update weekly, monthly, quarterly performance reviews
• Present status and overall financial and schedule performance to internal customers
• Forecast financial performance and staffing needs
• Support contract negotiations, endorse final price/contract terms and resolve contract issues
• Manage customer satisfaction

Our Ideal Candidates:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience providing leadership and direction to program teams while managing program functions such as contract, finance, engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations. They should also possess strong skills in risk assessment and mitigation, budget management, performance review, and customer satisfaction.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technical or Business field
• 7 or more years of project, program or related experience
• PMP or equivalent
• Lean Six Sigma Green belt
• Experience managing government contracts
• Experience in budgeting, profit and loss management
• Understanding of composite parts fabrication
