Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

Overview: Canon U.S.A. in Melville, NY is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst (Sr. Analyst, Quality Assurance) to meet Inspection & Governance Objectives. A strategic contributor who can define QA Charter, formulate overarching Test Strategies, maintain a tight oversight on vendor's test artifacts, evaluate and examine deliverables and develop organization wide Automation framework. This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs. Responsibilities: - Lead the Inspection & Governance activities for core B2B and B2C testing initiatives - Formulate overarching Test Strategies & laying guidance on test standards & test levels to be followed by different testing groups - Lend extensive support in the development & periodic refinement of an organization wide QA Charter - Define Inspection Plans outlining the types of inspection evaluations for assessment of test deliverables - Define Capacity Plans after reviewing project testing scope, complexity and level of inspections needed for attainment of reasonable assurance - Align QA Methodologies, processes, tools & strategies towards attainment of IT Governance Objectives - Define & formulate testing standards, enforce them across initiatives and expand Quality Management - Lay Strategic road maps for QA Centric activities and monitor its progress - Develop Automation Frameworks, implement Automation processes to reduce dependence upon manual methods - Work in a very demanding and fast paced environment Qualifications: - B.S in Computer Science with at least 5+ years of progressive experience - Defining overarching test strategies, QA Charter for test governance activities - Formulating Test Inspection Plans, QA Test Strategies, Test Execution Plans and Inspection Retrospectives - Designing Test Automation Frameworks, Scripts for various B2B and B2C systems - Be independent and work with minimal supervision and oversight - Be able to work in a fast paced & demanding work environment - Be able to support work during late evenings and weekends (if needed) - Must have excellent verbal and presentation skills - Strong interpersonal and Organizational skill - Be highly proficient in Selenium and other open source tools & technologies Commonly used keywords: Governance, QA Charter, QA Center of Excellence, Automation, Test Scripts, Selenium The company will not pursue or support visa sponsorship for this position.
