Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Duties:

• 
  Develop comprehensive, reasonable, and responsible automation test strategies for all of the Qvidian and RO Innovation products.
• Develop automated functional test scripts and analyze, maintain, and extend the existing automation scripts, while working closely with the development team to review early drafts of specifications and making meaningful recommendations.
• Review product requirement documents and engineering specifications to define automation test strategies and to scope test efforts.
• Mentor other software automation engineers both within our immediate Business Unit, as well as across all of Upland, as needed.
• Work closely with the test automation and development teams to ensure adequate/maximum test coverage/effectiveness.
• Design, develop, maintain performance measurement scripts and overall architecture/framework.
• Responsible for future vision of automation and performance testing, making sure that our assets do not become antiquated or out of date from an industry standard perspective.
• Must be well spoken and have excellent written skills in English to be capable of mentoring others in automation, as well as collaborating within the Engineering team and across Upland.
• Must have experience in interviewing automation candidates and assessing their progress/contributions.

Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field.
• Must have 4 years of post-baccalaureate experience in testing and development. The 4 years of experience must include experience with Selenium script building; technical collaboration and mentoring; automation technologies; VBA; VBScript; SoapUI; evaluating and formulating changes in automation strategies with constraints; and representing automation as SME.
• Must have experience mentoring other automation staff.
• Position headquartered in Austin, Texas but eligible to work from anywhere in the U.S.
