What you will be doing
As a quality assurance engineer, you will perform and setup all kinds of tests, and collaborate with our team of Product Owners, Backend developers and UX/UI Designers. Your main tasks are auditing, training and coaching of the product teams to make sure that both internal requirements and company standards are met. Together with the product owners, you assure the quality of our products. You support technical activities, with the aim of reducing the overall number of issues. You ensure that issues are solved, including root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions and verification of effectiveness.
Your responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated tests of the Fixico products
Communicate the status of test development to the appropriate channels
Communicate test findings to the appropriate channels
Make contributions to continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
Work with product teams to continuously improve development tooling
Work with product owners to coordinate manual testing of new features
Solve hard problems primarily by getting the right context from the right people
Qualify and quantify risk, impact, and effort of work
Share the right amount of information with the right people, at the right time, and listen effectively
Provide support to other team members, spread knowledge, and develop the team outside formal reporting structures
Invest in tools and processes that lead to outsized impact so that we can be more productive.
Most importantly, help our internal customer service team via support to ensure they have the best experience possible with our internal tools.
We are looking for someone with
3+ years of auto tests experience (preferred JS)
2+ years experience in manual (exploratory) testing, experience in applying various test design techniques, ability to create vision and strategy regarding quality for team components
Strong expertise and skills in decomposing product requirements and designing a test scenario, experience in analysing different types of technical testing, and choosing actionable items
Experience with quality assurance in a team that does quick experiments in the product
Experience with API gateway automation (API testing and backend testing)
Experience with UAT and Integration testing
The knowledge to automate the QA process
A fluent understanding of English in writing and speaking
Understanding of CI/CD principles and the ability to develop and maintain these pipelines
Self-starting mentality, being proactive, strong communicator, and ability to navigate through ambiguous environments
