Role: Senior Robotics Software Engineer, Simulation

Reports To: MultiRobot Team Lead

Job Overview: As our robot gets more advanced, the number of features and capabilities grows quickly. Ensuring that we can keep adding features without breaking old ones becomes critically important for keeping a successful mass-deployed product.

In this role you will take technical ownership of our simulation test infrastructure development. You'll work to create a simulated twin of our release testing, such that we can continuously test and find errors before our customers do. As you develop these tools, you'll be expected to maintain a clean and scalable codebase that allows for other developers to add on and improve the tool and tests for their needs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead development of our simulated test infrastructure
• Work across product and engineering teams to distill ambiguous requirements into concrete plans
• Own your projects from inception & development to deployment.
• Mentor junior engineers

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors in CS
• 2+ years of work experience in a related software field
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with Gazebo/Unity/similar simulation software
• Past experience with ROS, or understanding of fundamental usage
• Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge

Preferred Requirements:

• Previous experience in startups or fast-paced engineering teams
• Experience with C++
• Experience with Docker and moving systems to Cloud Computing
• 5+ years industry experience
