Senior Sales Strategy Consultant

Opportunity Summary:
  • Build positive working relationships with customer stakeholders including their sales leadership, education and enablement teams
  • Demonstrate expertise in sales strategy and guided selling, sales and account planning methodologies, opportunity management, process design and automation, global technology deployments.
  • Share best practices on adoption, enablement and change management, value messaging, executive alignment, sales/revenue KPIs (leading and lagging)
  • Assist with the customers’ set up and configuration of Altify to ensure it is optimized for each customer-facing team
  • Ensure internal and external stakeholders are informed of their roles, responsibilities and deliverables (e.g, Single Sign-on, technical services, training, etc.)
  • Support the internal sales team by providing implementation overviews to new prospects
  • Lead Altify workshops and engagement meetings tailored to each customer to maximize each team's success with Altify (e.g., discovery and planning/strategy workshops)
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with internal teams (Altify Solutions Consulting, Customer Success, Sales, Product and Engineering, others) using Altify and Salesforce internally
  • Scope engagements and create Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Resource planning across multiple engagements
  • Lead engagements with customers from kickoff to go-live
  • Develop detailed engagement project plans
  • Manage deliverables and lead team to execute and hit targets
  • Provide product feedback received during engagements to Altify product and engineering team
  • Identify future training needs and partnering with SME to create a curriculum to facilitate that training
  • Tailor training materials and approach as needed by customers
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5 or more years of enterprise sales/revenue team training facilitation
  • 5 or more years of experience with Salesforce as a user and/or administrator
  • 10 or more years of customer-facing experience at a B2B tech company
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficient in the concepts & theories that drive effective adult learning.
  • Strong public speaking skills- able to convey complex concepts verbally, and engage an audience, both live and via distance learning.
  • Deep understanding of a SaaS customer engagement
  • Significant experience with complex sales process and deal pursuit principles
  • Deep understanding of complex account and portfolio management principles
  • A track record of success building relationships with large complex enterprise customers
  • Strong organizational/time management skills and the ability to manage multiple customers and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Senior Strategy Consultants must communicate effortlessly with all roles at each customer, including VPs and c-level executives
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Senior Strategy Consultants must form positive relationships with multiple stakeholders at each customer and internally at Upland
  • Strategic thinking. Senior Strategy Consultants must strive to understand each customer’s unique sales/revenue and customer organization in order to lead amazing engagements for customers
  • Senior Strategy Consultants must shoulder the responsibility of making each customer successful and welcome that level of ownership
  • A demonstrated history of successfully selling, delivering, and growing revenue
  • Experience working with regional and global accounts of all sizes
  • The drive for self-development, the ability to collaborate, and an action-oriented work ethic
