Senior Salesforce Developer

Senior Salesforce CRM Analytics Developer
Life Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.
As a Senior Salesforce CRM Analytics Developer, your responsibilities revolve around designing, developing, and maintaining analytics solutions within the Salesforce CRM platform.
What will you be doing?

  • Requirements Gathering: You will collaborate with business stakeholders, such as sales, marketing, and customer service teams, to understand their analytics and reporting needs. You will gather requirements, identify key metrics and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Data Modeling: You will design and implement data models that support the analytics requirements of the organization. This involves identifying relevant data sources, defining data relationships, and creating data structures that enable efficient analysis and reporting.
  • Data Integration: You will work with various data sources, such as Salesforce data, external databases, and third-party systems, to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data into the analytics environment. This may involve using tools like Salesforce Data Loader, ETL tools, or custom development using APIs.
  • Analytics Development: You will develop analytics solutions using Salesforce's native analytics tools, such as Salesforce Reports and Dashboards, Einstein Analytics (formerly known as Wave Analytics), or Tableau CRM. This includes creating custom reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide insights and support data-driven decision making.
  • Custom Development: In addition to using native Salesforce analytics tools, you may need to develop custom analytics solutions using technologies like Apex, Visualforce, or Lightning Components. This could involve creating custom data visualizations, integrating with external analytics tools, or building custom analytics applications within Salesforce.
  • Performance Optimization: You will optimize the performance of analytics solutions by fine-tuning queries, optimizing data models, and implementing best practices for data storage and retrieval. This ensures that analytics solutions deliver fast and accurate results, even with large data volumes.
  • Security and Data Governance: As a CRM analytics developer, you will ensure that data security and privacy measures are implemented within the analytics environment. This includes defining access controls, implementing data encryption, and adhering to regulatory requirements such as GDPR or HIPAA.
  • Documentation and Training: You will create documentation, such as technical specifications, user guides, and training materials, to facilitate the understanding and adoption of the analytics solutions. You may also deliver training sessions or support to end users to help them use the analytics capabilities optimally.
  • Collaboration and Support: You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as data scientists, business analysts, and administrators, to integrate analytics solutions with other systems and processes. You will also provide support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve issues or improve existing analytics solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Staying updated with the latest Salesforce CRM analytics features and industry trends is essential. You will evaluate new tools, techniques, and methodologies to improve the analytics capabilities and drive continuous improvement in data analysis and reporting.
  • These responsibilities may vary depending on the organization's specific requirements and the complexity of the Salesforce CRM analytics implementation. The role of a Salesforce CRM Analytics Developer is to leverage the Salesforce platform's analytics capabilities to deliver actionable insights and drive data-informed decision making throughout the organization.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is often required or equivalent level of Salesforce certification.
  • Salesforce Certifications: A minimum of 2 Salesforce certifications.
