Your Role:

As one of the first lab members of the stealth startup leadership team, you will drive a state-of-the-art scientific team designing a cutting-edge lipid nanoparticle (LNP) design platform which will enable the therapeutic delivery of mRNA. Reporting to the Director of LNP Formulations, you will be responsible for the success and growth of the team.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the design of in vivo studies for delivery system optimization and screening
• Design NGS based screening paradigm and work with AI/ML team to integrate the workflow and data into relevant databases and infrastructure
• Develop novel and state-of-the-art in vitro and ex vivo assays to complement in vivo readouts
• Present study observations and data in cross-functional project meetings.
• Train and manage a team to oversee animal handling, in vivo, in vitro and ex vivo capabilities

Organization: Integrate into the screening pipeline as on the essential leaders along with LNP experts and AI experts to enable rapid high throughput in vivo screening.

Laboratory: Build and lead a state-of-the-art in vivo, in vitro, ex vivo lab focusing on tools such as NGS, FACS, RT-PCR, ELISAs, etc.

Ecosystem: Collaborate internally with colleagues within the extended organization to build on strengths and generate effective partnerships

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

• PhD in Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related life sciences field
• 4+ years of industry or academic experience required
• Strong in vivo background is essential, including NGS and ex vivo assays like FACS, RT-PCR, ELISAs, etc.

• Experience with LNP testing "Preferred"
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, creative, results-driven problem solver with demonstrated flexibility and collaborative working style
• Excellent oral and written communication with experience in presenting to multi-functional teams across organizations
