The Project Manager - Reactor Modification Services has responsibility and authority for management and delivery for assigned projects including engineering, hardware and tooling development, safety, quality, production, and schedule conformance.
The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but highly qualified remote candidates will be considered
Roles and Responsibilities

Reports to the Manager, Reactor Modification Services and reports functionally to the Product Line Lead responsible for fleet wide modifications of the respective vessel internals system (Bottom Head, Jet Pump, Shroud / FW / CS, Steam Dryer / Moisture Separator)

Support Oversight and management of project engineering, procurement, QC, financials (especially cost forecasting and control), staffing, and training / qualifications prior to site implementation

Support appropriate relations and interact effectively with multiple levels of the customer organization on commercial, technical, and compliance issues

Support project planning, risk forecasting, and management

Provides work coordination and supervision to GE and contingent workers performing engineering and other functional activities necessary for project delivery

Interface with Field Delivery PM

Ensures Field Delivery PM participation in key design reviews, tooling and hardware shakedown, training, and qualifications primarily measured on project success as measured by the following:

Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 8 years of relevant experience in a technical field/industry

OR a high school diploma with 12 years of relevant experience in a technical field/industry.

Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Industry work experience

Minimum of 1 years of experience in Project Management
-
Minimum of 1 years of experience in engineering problem solving and facilitating resolution between diverse groups and interests

Minimum of 1 years of experience with proposals, pricing and billing practices
ELIGIBILITY Requirements:

Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time, including outage support as dictated by business need

Ability to obtain unescorted access to Nuclear Plants.

The RMS (Reactor Modification Services) PM (Project Manager) is a home office position in Wilmington, NC and will travel as necessary to support contract discussions, technical scope definition, vendor oversight, and training.
The salary range for this position is $89-135k. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
