YOU ARE VITAL TO THE WORK
We need someone that will lead the global Instagram channel for Porsche Motorsport. This person will help to drive the channel and evolve it from a motorsport-only to a motorsport culture/lifestyle page. To make it in line with the brand's overall ambition of becoming more “modern luxury”.
With multiple international race series and a constantly engaged online community, this will require a great deal of vision, juggling, and orchestration skills. From planning and posting content, to replying to online communication, teaching the team, and engaging with the community, this is a constantly active and proactive job.
The role will suit a senior social media manager with experience managing both social channels and community management. An already established history in the automotive and motorsports space is a plus, an interest in the topic a must as well as enjoyment of working in a high-paced, entrepreneurial, and energetic environment and on a client where real work gets made.
A DAY IN YOUR LIFE
You will be the organisational social lead on this global Porsche Motorsport Instagram channel, working together with the leads of media, strategy, creative and account management. You’ll be a key player in developing, posting and engaging with global social media content that helps resonate with more than a motorsport audience. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for the following:
Social and Community Management:
> Being the organizational SPOC (single point of contact) for all matters around the social media channel
> Working with partners, collabs, and other accounts online
> Having an eye on key trends with recommendations on what to play reactive (short term) and what to test in a longer-term manner
> Guiding the planning, scheduling and posting of content
> Training more junior members of the team to be able to delegate work in the long run
> Leading proactive Community Management through online communication
> Reacting to community messages and user-generated content
> Coordinating with
discipline leads for regular page maintenance and learnings
the media team to plan media postings and recommendations
the client on relevant daily reposts and opportunities
HOW WE WILL KNOW THAT YOU ARE THE ONE
> At least 5 years of social media work with community management and leadership experience
> At least 3+ years of working with various social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Emplify, Sprout or other similar tools
> Experience and understanding of automotive/motorsport is a plus, general interest and willingness to learn around the topic a must
> An entrepreneurial problem solver
> Incredible organization skills
> Excellent attention to detail
> High levels of intelligence, confidence, and a healthy dose of common sense
> Personable, positive nature, good fun, the ability to fit well into a collaborative, friendly team
> Curious mind… hungry to learn and experience new things
Native English speaker with excellent written and verbal skills
Beneficially Native English speaker with excellent written and verbal skills + able to communicate in German with clients
