ENSCO Avionics is looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team who has experience in working with full DO-178 B/C software life cycle. You will be authoring and collaborating on the development of certification plans (PSAC, SDP, etc) and standards (Software Requirements, Design, Modeling and Code) for safety-critical embedded software for an eVTOL aircraft. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the software team to define the processes, guidance and strategies used in development and verification.

Qualifications Required (Skills)

  • Min 3 yrs relevant experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree/experience
  • Hands-on experience writing software certification plans (PSAC, SDP, SCMP, etc) following guidance of DO-178B/C for safety-critical software
  • Hands-on experience writing software standards or experience following software standards
  • Hands-on experience with writing Software Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with DOORS or a similar requirement management tool
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally and written)

Qualifications Desired

  • Experience with software audits (SOI#1 – SOI#4) and working with certification authorities
  • Experience modeling using MATLAB/Simulink
  • Hands-on experience with software design and architecture development
