Matterport is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer to join our 3D Experiences team. As a front-end engineer on this team, you will be responsible for building user interfaces for our 3D model viewing and editing applications, which get more than 100 million views a month. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the React framework and be able to develop and maintain web applications utilizing React and associated technologies, with emphasis on mobile responsiveness and React testing methodologies. #LI-Remote in the U.S.

What you will do:

Deliver responsive user interfaces for annotating 3D models using React and Typescript.
Guide cross-team collaboration on Matterport’s design component library.
Collaborate with our Mobile team on app integrations of our product suite.
Work with our team and QA to bring React Testing Library into our test suite.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code and participate in code reviews.
Create working prototypes for new concepts, ideas, and platforms we want to explore.
Champion new optimizations, design patterns, and best-practices for our codebase.
Work with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, and engineers.

Who you are:

5+ years of experience designing and building user-friendly, performant web applications.
Strong demonstrated proficiency and employment history working with React and Typescript.
Passionate about front-end consistency, best practices, and attentive to details.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and implementing testing methodologies.
Team-oriented, experienced supporting teammates through peer review and releasing software in a team environment with multiple work streams.
Bonus: familiarity with 3D concepts.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,900 - $200,200 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
