Senior Software Engineer Front-end

What you will be doing

As a Front end engineer you will build the new features and components for Fixico’s dashboards. You’ll collaborate with our team of Product Owners, Back end developers and UX/UI Designers. You will be working with, but not limited to; modern JS frameworks (React, Next.js, etc), and any other technology which you think might suit the requirements. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to build and deploy products that will be viewed by our customers all over Europe.

Your responsibilities

• Own solutions from end to end, managing complexity and engaging directly with stakeholders to think through everything from success metrics, to the ergonomics of individual features.

• Contribute modular, well-tested code to create delightful user interfaces and well-built systems., and work mostly with JavaScript (React/Redux/Next), Material UI, and REST API’s.

• Optimise web applications to maximise speed and scale.

• Build libraries and frameworks that support complex web applications, speed up development efficiency and improve code quality.

• Contribute creativity and insight to solve both technical and business challenges.

• Research and promote new technologies and best practices within the team.

We are looking for someone with

• 4+ years of experience in a JavaScript (ES6 / ES7) development role

• Experience with React JS (Hooks, Context API and what more recent concepts we can consider)

• Experience with Middleware (Redux-Thunk, Redux-Saga)

• Solid understanding of the Agile methodology i.e. Story point estimation, refinement, sprint planning, retrospective, sprint demos

• Highly skilled in working with customer focused React apps

• Experience with REST API’s

• Should have an eye for UI and UX to achieve the best user experience

• A self-starting mentality, being proactive, strong communicator, and ability to navigate through ambiguous environments
