Senior Software Engineer, Python

What You Will Be Doing

Working alongside an extremely talented and distributed team of Product Managers, UI/UX designers and Software Engineers to develop new features and to maintain and scale our existing web applications. Proactively find opportunities to contribute to and optimize the existing stack and REST API's. Work with and mentor other software engineers at various levels. Develop APIs that handle health information as well as retrieving data from mobile devices.

What You Must have for this Position

• Minimum 7 years of proven backend services and SAAS architecture experience, ideally with Python
• Experience with SQL-based databases such as MySQL & Postgres
• Experience creating and scaling highly performant REST APIs
• Proficiency in version control eg. Git, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket

What is nice to have for this Position

• Minimum 4 years experience with Django & Django REST framework
• Experience with Celery is a plus
• Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs (eg. Shopify, 23andme, Fitbit)
• Experience with Amazon Web Services and scaling techniques
• Experience with TDD and ability to write quality unit tests
• Experience working in a fast paced startup that is always evolving
• Experience with Agile workflows and SDLC
• Experience in healthcare and especially HL7/FHIR
