Senior Software Engineer, Quality & Release (full-time, one position)

Senior Software Engineer – Quality and Release to work with Product Managers and Engineers to plan sprints and QA release schedules. Participate in design reviews and provide input in features and user stories from a quality standpoint. Develop QA plans and test cases for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes and review them with appropriate stakeholders. Plan and execute test cases and document defects in our bug tracking system. Analyze defects, develop root cause analyses, and work with engineering to resolve them. Develop and enhance our test automation framework in Python, Java, and Selenium. Ensure that automated regression testing runs on all builds in a timely manner on our Jenkins build system. Monitor test status and coverage and fix any issues with coverage in a timely manner. Champion QA and test-driven development within the team and ensure proper unit test coverage with automated tools. Work with DevOps to integrate quality checks into the build pipeline. Work with engineering and product leads to improve the QA process and keep it efficient. Help recruit and mentor junior QA engineers and build a team. Must have Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Engineering (any), or related field plus two-year IT experience. The two years must include experience with SQL, Rest or Jira. In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Engineering (any), or related field, plus five years of progressive experience. Two of the five years of progressive experience must include experience with SQL, Rest or Jira. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. All experience may be acquired concurrently.
