Senior Software Engineer - job 2 of 2

Responsibilities include: unit testing, source control, continuous integration, automation, design patterns; delivering solutions that adhere to the software architecture strategy, coding standards, and established organizational policies and procedures; designing, building, and maintaining scalable and robust applications; independently analyzing, implementing, testing, documenting and maintaining new and current software applications in support of achieving business goals; creating estimates and assisting with planning throughout the software development life cycle; leading or assisting in technical initiatives working with multiple groups; writing clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices (unit testing, TDD, continuous integration and deployment, automation, design patterns, and refactoring); working with other developers, quality engineers (QE), ops engineers and support engineers to ensure smooth deployment, and continual operation; participating in design discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business or closely related field and five years’ experience in the job offered or five years’ experience developing software and systems; experience in one or more programming languages, technologies and software platforms, such as C#, Java, JavaScript, MS-SQL Server, Sybase; multi-threading; writing clean and maintainable code.

Alternate Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, business or closely related field and two years’ experience in the job offered or two years’ experience in developing software and systems; experience in one or more programming languages, technologies and software platforms, such as C#, Java, JavaScript, MS-SQL Server, Sybase; multi-threading; writing clean and maintainable code.
