Corning’s Brand & Experience group is looking for a Senior Specialist, Content and Editorial to join its team of content creators, shape and implement Corning’s content strategy, and help guide writers in the evolution of content at Corning.

Scope of work:

• Develop and publish insightful, innovative, award-winning content for Corning
• Write and edit a variety of content, ensuring that stories are both compelling and on-brand
• Help edit media advisories and press releases, ensuring that they deliver key messages
• Engage with colleagues across Strategy, Design, Analytics & Measurement, and Internal and External Communications to create content that resonates with audiences and fits Corning’s technical platforms
• Be an ambassador for Corning’s content-creation and publishing processes
• Help manage our content calendars to keep content flowing smoothly
• Pitch creative work to stakeholders of all kinds, gather their feedback, and deliver work that exceeds expectations
• Continually research marketing trends, strategies, and new technologies to find best-fit approaches and tools

Required education:

• Bachelor’s degree

Minimum Experience Requirements:

• 3-4 years of external or in-house agency, journalism/publishing, communications, and/or marketing experience – ideally in the writing, content-creation, or content-strategy realms
• A love of writing and a passion for conveying new ideas to readers
• The ability to write and edit grammatical, logical, well-structured copy
• Breadth and flexibility of voice: humanizing complicated and technical content, and communicating details in clear, consistent, and compelling ways
• A solid understanding of digital channels and an ability to work with emerging platforms
• Excellent client-relationship-building skills
• Familiarity with Mircosoft365, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Experience Manager, and other relevant tools (e.g, Figma, Airtable)

Location and Travel requirements:

• Corning, NY; New York, NY; Washington DC; Charlotte, NC
• Travel up to 25% domestically

The range for this position is ($66,254.00- $91,099.80). Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
