Black Women Talk Tech (BWTT) is a collective of black women tech founders who have a unique understanding of the challenges we face in the industry, but also of the advantages we can bring. We're here to identify, support, and encourage black women to build the next billion dollar businesses. Through our annual programming, including tech conference series for women and men of color, VC investor connections, a HBCU program and digital membership, we aim to normalize the black woman founder through education, promotion, research, and funding.

Description

As a Senior Sponsorship Sales Lead, you will be tasked with quickly growing the portfolio of sponsors and prospects for Black Women Talk Tech and driving revenue growth for its conferences and new consumer events. The Senior Sales Lead is expected to work with the business development team and each corporate partner to ensure their business needs are met and exceeded from agreement to execution. To do so, you will have the support of the entire organization from marketing to operations. This position will report to the Head of Sales and work closely with the entire BWTT leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Creatively develop, lead, pitch and close deals with Fortune 500 executives.
  • Grow revenue attached to Black Women Talk Tech conferences & annual programming.
  • Leverage BWTT's property assets to deliver strong return on investment for sponsorship partners.
  • Manage partner portfolio consisting existing partners and execute necessary deliverables for each partner - including project management, partner communications, developing new opportunities, partner reports, etc.
  • Manage and develop the sponsorship pipeline — develop targeted prospect lists of potential sponsors for each property, finding appropriate contacts for each company.
  • Track prospects through sales process using internal CRM to provide regular pipeline updates and capture all sales activity.

Qualifications


  • 5-7+years of event/sponsorship sales experience (required)
  • Successful history of selling event/experiential marketing sponsorships
  • Strong expertise in identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and closing deals.
  • Institutional knowledge and deep understanding of the sponsorship industry.
  • **A robust professional network of decision makers and influencers on both the brand and agency side that can be leveraged immediately. Tech networks are a PLUS.
  • Exemplary problem solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Must have a high degree of poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts.
  • BS/BA degree preferred.
  • Tech savvy. Experience working with GSuite, Slack, Asana, Saleforce and CRM interfaces. General knowledge of the tech space from a business standpoint.

HOURS: 20 hours per week (minimum). Part Time with the opportunity to become FT/permanent.

COMPENSATION: Generous Commission on new leads.
